Are you testing your website in various no Wi-Fi zones and experiencing what prospects are?

From climate-controlled office sanctuaries, staring into the pristine glow of a 27-inch monitor, riding a flawless, lightning-fast bandwidth high, we think: โThis website loads perfectly.โ
But with over 70% of the website traffic coming from mobile phones, this isn’t the typical experience. You need to shut the laptop, get out from behind the desk, and hit the pavement. Go where the human beings are. Walk the perimeter of the property. Hustle over to the chaotic pizzeria next door, or saddle up at the local dive bar down the block. Pull out your phone right there, amidst the noise and the bad reception, and order up your homepage. What do you actually get? Is it a seamless experience, or are you staring at a mangled, half-rendered chat widget choking on a cellular chokehold while your loading animation spins into oblivion?
Take the Whole Foods down the street from me in Jenkintown PA. I frequent there often, but it’s an absolute dead zone where AT&T signals go to vanish. That is your battleground. Because if a prospect is standing there, desperate to look up your pet policy, they likely won’t risk their data identity on some sketchy, unsecure public Wi-Fi network just to see your glossy floor plans. Theyโre just going to walk away.
Data aggregators and synthetic speed tests are great for the spreadsheets, but they don’t show you the scars of the real world. Stop testing for the boardroom. Grab your phone, get out on the street, and see what your renters are experiencing.
